Question : Hello , We are presently in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX on our vacations this week. Temperature is around 20(Max)-10(Min) today. Wanted to understand few small questions

1, What is the Dengue Condition now in XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX in the winters. Is it still spreading.
2. Today we noticed in the morning around 8.30 AM , that there was a mosquito which we killed that was full of blood that it had sucked. While we didnt know whom it bit and when (may be from the night as it was completely full), none of us could feel any bite or itch.
but i was generally getting worried as we have a baby at home.

Can you pls tell me on what i should be my action items now with as i fear for Dengue. i know its a silly question.

Also can you pls tell me if Dengue is being transmitted now, in this cold weather. We live on the 5th floor.

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Dengue is still endemic in parts of XXXXXXX which are hot,humid,marshy and having water reservoirs.
Hence,dengue is still not ruled out in areas like XXXXXXX

Avoid mosquito bites by wearing full sleeves cloths and shoes.
Use mosquito repellent creams liquids.
Avoid mosquito inhabited areas in day (avoid day time bites as carrier mosquito bites during daytime).
Take all the preventive measures against mosquito breeding,in your vicinity.
Keep yourself well hydrated.
