Question: Hello dear healthcaremahic specialists,

For some months now i’ve had this weird and embarassing symptom where gas continiously escapes from the behind without me noticing, it’s technically a constant smell. Sometimes it’s a bad smell, but most the times it indeed smells comparable to actual gas. I have no control over it, I can’t even sit in the same car with people anymore. I can’t explain it,it’s not going away and it has so much inpact on my daily life. I’ve tried cutting down lactose to see if maybe that is my body’s strange reaction to an intolerance, but it did not help. I’m seeking help because I really need a solution to this and I can’t find anything like this online, I seem to be the only one who experiences it. Any ideas?

Usually escaping of gas doesn't indicate a disease or a health issue.
It can be related to increased gas, flatulence and bloating.
You should avoid certain foods that can increase gas on abdomen such fruits and juices containing fructose, lactose fibers and starch.
Avoid carbonated drinks and mineral water.
Stop eating chewing gum and smoking.
Eat slowly and mindfully avoiding eating too much air.
You can use supplements found over the counter that contain a-galactosidase or products such lactaid which reduce lactose.
You can also use probiotics to help normalize the intestinal flora.
