Question: Hello doctor. I'm an XXXXXXX female diagnosed with G6PD deficiency as a child. I've been placed on 1/2 of a tablet of phentermine per day to help bring down my weight, as i also have Turner's syndrome and being on the pill for a very long period is affecting my ability to keep my weight down, despite healthy eating. Can i take phentermine?

Brief Answer:
Kindly, add an exercise or sports regime in your routine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on Ask A Doctor forum.
Phentermine is a drug used to reduce appetite.
However, the drug has to be combined with healthy diet and exercise.
I suggest you to start an exercise or sports regime in addition to healthy diet plan to keep a check on weight.

Thanks and take care
