Question: Hello doctor

Local doctor prescribed sulpride medicine for me for vertigo and anxiety. The dose supposed to start with 50 my daily and increase gradually to 200 mg for two months.

Is dogmatil safe? Any serious side effects should I worry about ? Especially with the dose described?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
It is a safe dose

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Sulpiride is safe and is used as a treatment for anxiety and depression.
You are taking it to a relatively low dose so I believe you will not have much side effects.
The side effects you may worry are cramping and muscle spasms, fever, rash and nausea.
So the dose prescribed is a low dose.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks for your reply doctor..

I am currently taking several natural vitamins and supplements that doctors prescribed for me which are:

Ginco biloba once daily
Vitamins combination twice daily
Songah night tablet (combination of two specific extracts from two different plants – Valeriana officinalis (Valerian) and XXXXXXX officinalis (Lemon Balm)) for sleep improvement
once at night

Any of those interact with sulpride?
Or I should be fine ??

Thanks
doctor
