Question: Hello doctor...my lo is 3yrs old..she is 14kg..she had an episode of fever on monday with cold and cough...the doctor has advised to take cefixime syrup bd for five days..today it is fifth day and there is light cough yet..but there is no fever..plz suggest me what to do...thanks in advance

I have gone through your query with diligence. Usually for mild respiratory infections 5 days antibiotics will be enough. As the fever subsided and only light cough there is nothing to worry. But if there is cough with any kind of sound or thick phlegm then consult your pediatrician.
