Question : Hello everyone. I could really use some help. 21 year old healthy female. In the past month, I contracted a GI bug. I got super sick and ended up getting some tests done. EKG, chest x ray, multiple CBC panels, lumbar and cervical spine x rays, and a brain MRI. All came back perfect, except I showed some peribronchial markings in my lungs. I went to the the doctor this morning for a checkup and she saw that my blood work from the end of March showed a high protein blood count of 8.7, a high globulin of 4.2, and a calcium of 10.0. Everything else was fine other than some high cholesterol, and my RBC was high. In the past month, I’ve felt a little constipated, my bones ache in different places everyday, and a lot of brain fog. I looked these things up and it brought multiple myeloma to my attention. I match a lot of the symptoms, but not the age range. Is this possible. I’m honestly freaking out.

Brief Answer:
Symptoms can be due to vitamin D deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on Ask A Doctor forum.
The symptoms of bony aches and mental fogginess could be due to vitamin D deficiency.
I suggest you to get vitamin D blood levels.
In case vitamin D is low, I suggest you to take vitamin D supplements after prescription from your primary health care provider.
Multiple myeloma is unlikely at this age.
It would be more helpful if you could upload your blood report.
In the meanwhile kindly get your vitamin D levels.

Thanks and take care
