Question: Hello,

i had a protected sex with a girl (i used a condom) but before that i made her a cunnilingus, it wasn't deep, it was superficial and quick.

i am afraid of STD infection even though i know the risk is very low via oral sex.

- i had no wounds in my mouth

- she wasn't on her periods (as she said)

- she is sure she is clean

- i have no symptoms

i made the first test after 3 days (i didn't know it needs time) i was negative

i made a second test after 24 days of the intercourse and everything also was negative.

i am not sure of the accuracy of the test within this period.

i am stressing too much.

Brief Answer:
Please don't worry! These test are very accurate after 3 and 24 days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome writing in"Ask a Doctor".
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Based on your history, having protected sexual intercourse and a quick oral sex without sores in mouth you should know that there is no risk for HIV.
You should know that there exist a low risk to get pharyngeal gonorrhea, chlamydia or syphilis. But if you have a negative results I think you shouldn't worry because these test are very accurate after 3 and 24 days.
Please could you send me an attached picture of your tests.

Hope I have answered your query.

You are free of STD and HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in "Ask a Doctor".
I am sorry for my late response.

I have seen carefully your attached lab result and I emphasizes again that you are definitely free of STD and HIV.
You don't need to get other HIV test because there is no risk for HIV in your situation.
Usually, a person should get a 4 th generation HIV test after 4-6 weeks and 3 months from a risky exposure.

Hope I have answered your query.

Answered by Dr. Dr. Monika Dede (26 hours later)
Brief Answer:
This is not related to this exposure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back.
I am sorry for my late response.

You should know that having an HSV 1 IgG positive means that it is not an acute infection but you have had this infection before this exposure.

So, it is not related to this exposure.
HSV 1 is not dangerous and usually is not transmitted sexually but orally.

Hope I have answered your query.
Feel free to ask me further.

HSV 1 is not the same with canker sores.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in"Ask a Doctor".
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

HSV 1 is not the same as canker sores.
HSV 1 also called fever blisters, are groups of painful blisters.
Unlike canker sores, HSV 1 are caused by a virus and are extremely contagious.
Also, herpes simplex 1 appear outside the mouth usually under the nose, around the lips, or under the chin, while canker sores occur inside the mouth.
