Question: Hello, it was like 3 weeks ago I hurt my knee. I figured it would just go away but it’s still hurting me. My knee don’t hurt when I just walk but if I’m sitting down and I try to straighten my knee all of the way it hurts. When I try to raise my leg up it shakes really bad and I can’t raise it far at all.. it’s like something is stopping me from raising it. Also it hurts at the bottom of my knee.. like it becomes really tight. What could that be?

Brief Answer:
Can be internal injury to the knee.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
From the symptoms that you have described it seems that you have suffered a soft tissue injury of the knee. There is an injury to cruciate ligaments or menisci or other internal structures of the knee. This can be diagnosed only after an MRI scan. This makes the knee unstable and painful on certain movements.
Till then it is best to avoid all painful movements and use a knee cap or knee support to help improvement.
Hope this answers your question.
