He often cries in the night and is unable to sleep properly. Today we went to a doctor and he suspected stomach indigestion and infection. Doctor suggested Emigo syrup, Beniflox OZ, Drotin DS and Livgurad syrup.
Are these medicines safe for use given the age of the patient?

                                    Brief Answer:
You can give the medications, it is safe for this age
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for asking on Ask A Doctor platform
I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.
Emigo contains ondensetron which helps in vomiting, benflox oz is an antibiotic, drotin ds helps in relieving spasmodic pain and livgurad syrup I think contains digestive enzymes.
If you have shown to a child specialist I assume the dose will also be appropriate for the age.
If you are noticing any significant complaint or worsening of symptoms please visit your doctor again.
I shall be glad to help further if you need any.
Regards

His vomitting is present, slightly reduced. Additionally he is coughing for which he is having difficulty in sleep. What can we give for cough?

Please get him examined by a pediatrician
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for follow up
I am really very sorry for delayed reply.
As cough is causing difficulty in sleep I would request you to get him clinically examined by a pediatrician to rule out any congestion.
For vomiting I would suggest you to continue Emigo for two more days. Adding acid reducing agent like lansoprazole (Junior lanzol 5 mg) once a day will help.
Most of the time cough improves with syrup containing salbutamol, bromhexin(like ambrolite LS or Ambrodil LS) but if congestion is there he may need nebulisation.
Please feel free to ask if you have any more doubts.
Wishing for your baby's good health.
Regards
