Question : Hello, my husband has to wear a catheter 24 hrs.To-day there was a lot of blood in it. He is having a procedure to-morrow to see if there is blockage,should he notify the dr. right away. His age is 78 and has lost a lot of weight.

If your husband feels OK, I.e. not dizzy, cold, sweaty, or pale, it is OK to wait. If not, see your doctor. Blood from a urinary catheter in itself is not dangerous.
