Question : Hey! My name is XXXXXXX and am 29 years old. A week ago I feel I had upper repository infection.
Sinus, sore throat. Cough that hurt the chest.
It got better but today I was coughing this morning and had small streaks of blood in phlegm. I am not coughing during day just in morning.
With tightness of chest I am not sure because I have anxiety and often feel it hard to breathe deep when I have anxiety like this. I have no fever or runny nose or sore throat now. Just that cough that made me nervous and a little feeling of being unwell.
I am traveling in Morocco right now and am worried it is pneumonia and I will suddenly fall severely ill. Is my overthinking?

Brief Answer:
It is a simple upper respiratory tract infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The symptoms are consistent with simple upper respiratory tract infection. Sinusitis can cause streaks of blood in the sputum.
As of now consult a general practitioner and start a short course of antibiotics preferably amoxclav or azithromycin for five days. Expectorant cough syrups can also be taken to control cough. You can also do steam inhalation for symptomatic reliefs
Pneumonia is very unlikely at this stage.
Generally the symptoms will settle in few days. If symptoms persist an X-ray may be taken.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
