Question : Hey doctor I just had a question regarding this particular vitamin supplement. It’s a combination of Echinacea, Garlic, Zinc and Vitamin C I have been taking two tablets a day for about a couple of weeks now but I was wondering if this was safe to do so? I have attached images of the ingredients of the supplement, on the bottle it says you can take up to three a day but it doesn’t say for how long would this be safe to do it over a month or two for example considering how much is in it?

This is a link to the supplement if the images don’t work https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/57027/cenovis-echinacea-garlic-zinc-c-125-tablets

Brief Answer:
You can safely take up to three to four months for some health condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the ingredients of your health supplement.
It is a safe supplement and does not contain any ingredients that will harm your body. There is no definite protocol for the use and you can safely take the pill for three to four months.
However it will be better to avoid herbal supplements in case of liver or kidney disease as it might harm your liver function.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks

Hey doctor thanks for the follow up I don’t have any conditions in particular other than IBS so I do get stomach pains. If there were side effects to these what sort of symptoms should I be looking for and can this supplement cause a zinc overdose or any of the other ingredients if I was only take 1-2 tablets a day especially with my stomach problem?
