Question: Hey doctor,

I’ve been having dysuria symptoms on and off when I pee just this burning feeling especially if I don’t drink a lot of water. I recently visitee my doctor and underwent a urine sample and also a swab of penis to test for infection which both came out clear. What I just noticed though when I peed before was this weird small ball that was full of black specs in it. What exactly could this be do you think I’ve never seen anything like it? I’ve been having these symptoms on and off for about 6 months and have visited my doctor numerous times with all the tests coming out negative including a urinary tract ultrasound and they don’t really want to do a cystscopy because of my age and the fact they can do a lot of damage. What exactly do you think it could be?

Brief Answer:
Overactive bladder may be the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Listening to your symptoms I can suppose you may have prostate issues but taking count of your age that is too young the prostate issues are exceptional.

Also taking count of urine tests infection and bladder stones are excluded.

I think you are having overactive bladder syndrome.
It can be caused by some types of food like tomatoes and coffee.
Drinking lots of water and fluids can help you relieve symptoms. Also taking antinflamatory drugs such advil for pain relieves symptoms.
Also taking antidepressants can help symptoms.

You may need to do cystoscopy.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
