Question : Hi Doctor, My brother is having pain in kidneys and once got blood in urine. He has got this test done. Please advise. Kind Regards, Afshan
Brief Answer:
Need an ultrasound scan...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Presence of blood stained urine with abdominal pain suggest kidney stones. The reports attached reveals normal serum creatinine and blood urea. But I would suggest an ultrasound scan of abdomen to diagnose kidney stone. Visit a doctor nearby and plan for the scan.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Thank you. Please find attached ultra sound report.
Brief Answer:
Renal calculi present...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The scan shows a stone (calculi) in the right kidney. If your pain is on the right side, then it is the likely cause. If it is on the left, then the kidney stone is an incidental finding and not related to stone.
You might also need an urine examination to check for presence of infection; if it's not been done. Discuss with your treating doctor.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
