Brief Answer:
Give her be Benadryl please
Detailed Answer:
Hello...as it's only 2 days cough, it could be a viral upper respiratory infection.
Stop Alerid.
Start Syrup Benadryl cough formula 5ml thrice a day for 3 days.
But this is a prescription medication and you will require a doctor's prescription for this please.

Hi Doctor,
thanks for your reply.
few queries:
1. Is there a different variant of Benadryl for children or is it normal Benadryl which is available for adults and same can be given to children as well?
2. Also, there were 2 variants earlier if I can remember correctly - for dry cough and one for other type of cough. Which one shall be taken?
Please suggest.
Regards,
Ankur

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your reply.
I have just reached home and got to know that now she is sneezing as well, a bit of runny nose and temperature of 98.9 degree F.
We have not given her anything for fever as of now and I have got the Benadryl cough formula as suggested. Any change in treatment as per this condition or any additional medicine to be given now? Please suggest.
Regards,
Ankur

Brief Answer:
Suggestions on medication
Detailed Answer:
Benadryl cough formula is a very good antihistamine and anti allergic medication l, so there is no need for any extra medication for sneezing.
If you can get back to me with the current weight of the kid I will tell you the formulation for fever.

Hi Doctor,
We tried giving her Benadryl but, she is not having it at all. She puked after that.
Not sure what to do.
We generally give her Alerid/Montair LC Kid and Maxtra, Ventorlin for cough.
Can we give anything out of these medicines? Please suggest.
Her weight is approx. 13.7 Kgs.
Also please let her know above what temperature we have to give her the fever medicine.
Regards,
Ankur
