Brief Answer:
Please elaborate.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Before I can give my opinion, I would like to know if your wife has any symptoms suggesting infection, such as irritation, burning sensation while passing urine, foul smell, itching, redness etc.
Also, I would like to know if there are any associated menstrual aberrations.
When there are no specific symptoms, the discharge is to be considered normal. A proper clinical evaluation is sufficient to confirm.
Hope you find this information useful. Please get back for further assistance. I will be glad to help.

Hi Doctor,
Thanks for your reply.
She is having irregular menstrual cycles (approx. 40-45 days).
We are having 22 months old kid and before delivery also she was having irregular cycles due to PCOD. Please suggest the way forward.

Ankur

Hello,
Thanks for writing back.
In the current scenario, I would ask you to get a proper clinical evaluation and go for investigation if needed.
If any infection is suspected, she will need a urinalysis, vaginal/cervical swab and a sonogram of the pelvis along with blood counts. The local examination will also help to exclude erosions of the cervix, cysts and polyps.
A home pregnancy test or the blood test will help to clarify if pregnancy is suspected.
If none is seen, the discharge is normal and there is no need to worry.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
