Hi Doctor, Several Days Ago, I Noticed A Small Pimple
Question: Hi Doctor,
Several days ago, I noticed a small pimple on my leg. Something looks very normal and I noticed like it occurs due to small hair there that tried to find it's way on my skin or something like that. The wrong part I did try to discover it and little mess with it as people sometimes do with pimples then left it. I even forgot it until today I noticed painful area there and I saw a bigger pimple with redness around and swelling and it hurts and burns me.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
It seems that it has got infected, perhaps, the result of manipulating it with a non-sterile needle.
I suggest you take an Oral antibiotic e.g either Amoxycillin 500mg or Cephalexin 500mg, three times a day for a week.
In addition, I suggest you to use an OTC topical antibiotic e.g either Mupirocin 2% ointment or Neomycin Ointment, twice daily. You may also take an Oral anti Inflammatory e.g either ibuprofen or diclofenac for symptomatic relief from pain and swelling. Oral antibiotics are prescription medications.
