Brief Answer:
It has no significance

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

RDW is bit high but it has significance only in case hemoglobin is low. As your hemoglobin is normal, there is nothing to worry.

Your cholesterol is on the higher side for which you need to do more exercises amd restrict sugars and carbohydrates in diet.

Hope this helps.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for your reply.

1) But why actually RDW is high?
2) Does carbohydrate and sugar increase cholesterol?

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
It's normal variation

Detailed Answer:
RDW is elevated in iron deficiency anemia but you don't have anemia so just a normal variation in all probability.

Carbohydrates and sugar, especially high in intake, promote fat deposition and increased blood cholesterol.
