Question: Hi Dr I am a sports athlete since past 20 days neither I have had sex nor done masturbations but on the shaft head side some itching sensation was there now itching sensation is gone but slight red marks are visible what's the reason?

Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted you had itching of the shaft of the penis which subsided and followed by a red marks over the shaft of the penis .

i shall be happy if you can upload photograph of your penis for inspection that will help me in making precise comments and suggestions as regards treatment .

The red marks are most likely to be abrasions of the skin resulting from scratching of the delicate penile skin .

Applying local soothing medication like Calamine lotion will help to heal up the marks ..

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily .
