                                    Brief Answer:
Please upload the full report, isolated ESR elevation is not serious.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you for the query.
It is almost useless to try and interpret just the ESR value without any history and complete report.
I request you to kindly upload the complete report so that I can help you better.
An isolated elevated ESR of 27 mm at 1 hour is not significant. We need other data to see if it has any significance at all.
ESR can be elevated if you have recently suffered from even a common cold or if you have drunk some extra water before the blood sample was drawn.
Please upload the reports and let me have a look.
Hope this helps.
Best regards

                                    Brief Answer:
Low Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3, Hypothyroidism, recent infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX
Thank you very much for uploading the report, it was not attached when I answered your query yesterday that is why I asked you for it. I gone through the report carefully and there are a few issues worth following up.
1. Your vitamin B12 and D3 levels are lower than normal.
Vitamin B12 is not at all available through vegetarian diet, so you must include meat in your diet or take vitamin B12 supplements.
The size of your red blood cells is more because of this reason.
2. Vitamin D3 is produced by the skin when you get exposed to sunlight.
It is low because you do not go out in the sun and mostly sit in the office in the day time.
You must change this and go for a morning or evening walk in the sunlight so that adequate amounts of vitamin D is produced.
3. TSH level is high TSH (Thyroid stimulating Hormone) is released by the pituitary and it stimulates your thyroid gland to produce thyroid hormones (T3 and T4). Since T3 and T4 levels in you are normal, but TSH is high, it means the thyroid is not producing sufficient amounts of T3 and T4, so pituitary is forced to produce more TSH to stimulate thyroid strongly.
This condition is called subclinical hypothyroidism, low dose thyroid hormone replacement will correct this problem.
4. ESR is slightly elevated while your total lymphocyte count is also slightly elevated which implies that you have recovered from a recent viral/bacterial infection. This is not significant and you can ignore this.
All other tests are fine, HDL cholesterol is slightly low, meaning your physical activity level is low, once you start walking daily or jogging, it will become normal.
Please consult your local endocrinologist and a physician for thyroid issue and low vitamin B12 levels.
I hope this answers your query to your satisfaction. Please do write to me if you need any further clarification.
Wish the best of health.
Warm regards
