Question: Hi Dr.
My daughter XXXXXXX is just 65 days old which means she was delivered on 18th Dec 2019 .Her weight during the delivery was 2.96kg and during discharge was 2.76kg now she is weighing 4.24 kg.
My question is she growing well as per her age. She is completely on breast feed and no formula given To her so far.
How will I know if i have fed her enough ,if I have To express and fed her how will I know in a bowl how much should I give her Such that I don't over do and also same time I ensure required ml intake is happening everyday.
Secondly and main issue is as shown in the video her reactions during her sleep due tomorrow which she also fails To have a proper 2 HR sleep as she cries during her actions . Why is she having a disturbed sleep.
Her ears externally was reddish bt its nt wet is that the cause of her being disturbed.

Brief Answer:
Her weight is normal for her age.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Slight weight loss is quite common immediately after birth and baby will gain gradually after that.
The present weight is appropriate for her age.
No need to express and you must feed the baby whole breast.
If her sleep is disturbed continuously possible causes like nasal congestion must be ruled out.
Thanks

Hi,
Nasal congestion diagnosed by difficulty in breathing especially during feeding and sleep. You can try saline nasal drops empirically as it a safe drug and does not harm even if the nostrils are fine.
Other causes like intestinal colics also be ruled out.
