Question : Hi. I am 55 years old. I had a rash on my inner thighs and forearm for which I used faucibet cream which was useful. At the same time, I also had pain while pulling back the foreskin of my penis. It was itching too. So I applied faucibet cream on the penis and foreskin. Now after 2 days, it has become red and blood is also seen on the leision. Is it because of faucibet or is it any other reason. Urine is passed with out any pain, but the tip of the penis is red. What should I do Dr. Pl advice.

Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query.
It could be either fungal infection or eczematous rash.
I need to ask you few questions:
Do you have diabetes or any other ailments?
Have you taken antibiotics in the recent past?
Is your sexual partner having vaginal discharge or itching?
Also upload the pictures of the affected areas under the report section of the site so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.

Brief Answer:
Fungal infection, oral & topical anti fungals, antihistaminic

Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached photographs and it seems to be a fungal infection.

I would recommend such cases to apply topical anti fungal like sertaconazole cream on the affected areas twice daily and take oral anti fungal like capsule itraconazole 100 mg once daily for 10 days. Oral anti fungals are prescription drugs and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.

For itching take anti histaminic like tablet levocetrizine 5 mg once daily.

This will help in resolving your problem.

Dr Asmeet
