Question : Hi, I am a 31 year old male that is experiencing burning when urinating and yellowish discharge from my penis. I experienced similar problems a few months ago and thought I had a STD, but after being tested was told I had a UTI. I was given Doxyciline at the time to clear up anything. I spoke to a Doctor today who was unsure and gave me Ciprofloxacine EG. A google search tells me my symptom may indicate Chlamydia and that Ciprofloxacine doesn't treat Chlamydia well. Should I go see another Doctor?

Brief Answer:
Consult with Urologist for further evaluation...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, there can be several causes for penile discharge which should be evaluated.

For further assessment, I would suggest you to consult with Urologist for detailed clinical examination. He may procure complete hemogram, urine and discharge culture sensitivity and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis as per evaluation. (if not done earlier)

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying diagnosis. You may require antibiotics as per culture sensitivity report.

Mean while, for burning while urination you can take urine alkalizer syp cital (disodium hydrogen citrate) and tablet acetaminophen. Keep your self hydrated by plenty of water and fluids.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further...
