Question: Hi I am a 43 year old female For the past year or so I have been experiencing random bouts of sharp pinching like pain in my lower abdomen more towards center not by ovary. The pain sporatically happens and lasts a second or two. It can be gone for a month or two and then come back lasting a few days. In July I had a workup done by my gyno had blood work swabs and ultrasound all came back clear. My question is should I be concerned about the pain what could be the cause.

Any other symptoms during the pain?
Like nausea,
vomiting,
noisy movement of intestines,
Feeling to pass urine or stool,
Bloating localized to the area of pain,
sweating?
Does the stool change? Like loose, fouls smelling, sticky/mucus during those few days?
Any relation to the menstrual cycle?
If possible post the reports of blood and ultrasound or any other investigations?
Any medications given/tried?
Any other relevant information, please.
Detailed history helps a lot in proper diagnosis and prognosis.

Brief Answer:
Please post Colonoscopy report once done.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your additional feedback.
IBS can surely cause the symptoms as you have mentioned.
But to say this to be IBS, it is better to get the GI related investigations to be within normal limits.
Bacterial vaginosis can cause PID that is pelvic inflammatory disease which in turn cause continuous pain in the lower abdominal area. Hence Can not cause momentary pain as you have mentioned.
I hope this answer helps you further.
