Question : Hi I am a 75 year old man 6 foot weigh 170 pounds, in very good shape, a retired pharmacist on no meds at all, and no disease states.
My question, I had a sabaccious cyst removed from my middle back in November 2019. It still is oozing and./ bleeding, a scab forms but always seems to break away. Have tried topical neosporin otc and tee tree oil. Thanks

Sebaceous cysts may develop again after excision.
The possibility of a recurrence must be ruled out.
As a first line management you can go for a short course of antibiotics preferably amoxclav for five to seven days. Continue topical antibiotics like neosporine or mupirocin.
If symptoms persist,we have to go for re do surgery, where the infected scar and a small portion of the surrounding area is removed.
