Question: Hi, I am experiencing severe pain in the chest area which coughing, sneezing and laughing. The pain in not in the ribs, it is deep inside, in the centre area. Clinical diagnosis like ECG, TSH, Mammography have shown clear results indicating normalcy. My physician had prescribed some vitamin, calcium and anti-acid tablets.
I have a feeling that my lungs are having some issues, because I am unable to finish the cough act.

Hello,

Your chest pain on coughing, sneezing etc is commonly seen with pleurisy (inflammation of pleura).
And most common cause for pleurisy is lung infection.
So better to get done chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
Another cause is bronchitis. So also get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
You may need antibiotics and inhaled treatment.

1. I do not smoke.
2. Right now, I do not have any breathing difficulty, but I do breathe hard, when I walk, play a little while also.

I can understand your concern.

So you have breathlessness on exertion. This is commonly seen with bronchitis. So get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only. You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 10-15 days.
