Brief Answer:
Hello, welcome to ask a doctor services.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, welcome to ask a doctor services. I have read your question.

I am concerned about the intermittent stomach ache in the navel area that you are experiencing since 2 days.

Your symptoms are indicative of indigestion, constipation, and umbilical hernias. Other, medical conditions that can cause such symptoms are appendicitis, gallstones, and pancreatitis, bowel obstruction, etc.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a local General Surgeon and get blood tests to assess your blood cell counts and electrolyte levels.

Get stool sampling done to check for pathogens in your stool. Get urine analysis done to rule out urinary tract infection (UTI) or kidney stones.

Your treating doctor may tell you to do invasive tests like endoscopy to evaluate any stomach or duodenum for ulcers. Imaging tests, such as X-ray, ultrasund or CT scans, to help visualize the organs of your abdomen and help come to a diagnosis.

Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made, pathology detected and severity of your symptoms. The treating doctor will give you conservative treatment, but if your system does not respond to the treatment he will suggest surgery(if required).

In the meantime, you should avoid taking hot, spicy, oily food. Take boiled water after cooling it. Prefer to take home made nutritious boiled, balanced food. Avoid taking packaged and processed food.

Stay away from addictions if any. To get relieve from your symptoms, you can take PPIs (Proton pump inhibitors ) like Rabeprazole, one tab half an hour before food, once a day, when needed for acidity. You can take liver tonics like syrup Liv 52 1 tsp twice a day for 5 days to help digestion. It will give you temporary relieve as the factor causing you symptoms will have to get treated.

Do not stay at home, sometimes the symptoms worsen or lead to medical emergency. You are advised to get clinically examined by a surgeon at the earliest so that your treatment can be started.

Hope I have answered your question. Get well soon. Take care.
