Question: Hi, I get very nauseous when I am hungry. I need to eat small meals every few hours as a result. I start to feel sick after not eating for 2 hours. Whenever I am in a situation where I can't eat frequently, it is debilitating and I need to lay down. What can I do to fix this?

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You may want to consider checking your blood sugar when these symptoms occur to see if it is going too low.

If your blood sugar is going low then additional testing may be needed to make sure that your insulin levels is not too high. In addition to checking insulin levels, you can also check the levels of a chemical called c peptide, it is made in the pancreas along with the insulin.

Imaging of the abdomen by ultrasound or CT scan may also be required as well ( if blood sugars running low and high insulin).

You can also consider increasing your protein intake if you are not able to do this testing at this time.
Protein tends to break down slower and this means that it keeps the person full for longer period of time.

Protein sources are animal or plant (if you are a vegetarian).

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
