Question : Hi I had an Aortic Valve replacement 13 weeks ago - via sternotomy which was closed with wires - is it safe to have infrared sauna. The valve used was a tissue valve

Hello

After going through the medical query raised by you I would like to tell you that there is no scientific data or research studies done for any bad effect of infrared sauna for tissue valves and it’s been almost 3 months after surgery so I believe there’s no harm to it but I strongly suggest you to take the opinion of your cardiac surgeon on this before proceeding ahead.
