Question : Hi, I have a 5years and 11 months old daughter who has uncontrolled amount of lice and nits in her hair. Can you suggest the best chemical free treatment for her as which can eradicate both the nits and lice together. Is there any natural or organic product available in the market which might not cause any irritation to her scalp and also which will not affect her hair. Kindly suggest me the required solution.

Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

I don't think there is any effective home remedy or natural remedy for lice. I suggest you to use 1% permethrin creme rinse (perlice). First, shampoo her hair and then apply on scalp and hair till length for 30-45 minutes and then rinse it off with plenty of water.
