                                            Question : Hi,
I have been a single male for quite a while now. Over this time I have masturbated alot. Over the course of a few years this has caused a brownish bruise to appear on the skin near the top of my penis. I have finally decided to do something about it. I have significantly reduced how often I masturbate, but this seems to be having little impact. I am hoping there is a cream or something I can buy to help the bruise disappear?
Thanks for your help

                                    Brief Answer:
Bruises usually do not disappear with creams
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I would like to know the details of the bruise. Is it inside the skin or over the skin? Does it look like dark skin or blood-coloured lump? If possible please upload a photo, so that I am better able to help.
If its a hyperpigmentation over the skin, then a cream containing sulphur or kojic acid can be applied over the bruise to reduce pigments.
Bruises usually do not resolve with cream and require plastic surgery.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

                                    Thanks for your quick answer.
I can’t tell if it inside the skin. It’s defini just slightly darker skin in one spot. About the size of a 5 cent coin. There are no lumps at all.
I would send a photo but it’s hard to see. It occasionally gets a bit sore but not too bad.
So is there any cream or anything you would recommend?

                                    Brief Answer:
It could just be nevus or drug eruption
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
From your description, it seems to be nevus or fixed drug eruption. I do not think a cream would be effective. Still a preparation of Kojic acid can be tried under a doctor's guidance to lighten the skin.
Plastic surgeon may also be consulted for possibility of removal without forming a scar tissue.
