Hi, I Have Been Diagnosed With An EGD With Mild

I have been diagnosed with an EGD with mild gastritis. Biopsies for Barrett's and H. pylori both negative.
My symptom is a nervous stomach that often gets better after eating. I have taken 20mg omeprazole once a day, for the past 2 months. (Symptoms have been lasting for 4 months) Symptoms have improved, but not back to normal. How do I heal gastritis and how long does it take?? I eat very healthy. Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to ask a doctor.
Thank you for the query.
I understand your concern.
Well likely mild gastritis seen on endoscopy is not the cause of your symptoms it could be just an incidental finding.
Omez 20 for 2 months could have healed by now can reduce the dose of omez to 10 mg in morning before breakfast.
Likely you have sensitive stomach.
Try following things which will help you in long run.
1 Go for regular walk
2 exercise regularly
3 sleep on time and adequately for 7 to 8 hrs
4 don't sleep for 2 hours after meals
5 try some yoga , mind relaxation techniques
6 reduce weight if excess
7 avoid tea, coffee aerated drinks pain killers
8 avoid stress, anxiety
all this will help you in long run
wish you a speedy recovery
happy to help
