Question : Hi, I have been experiencing dry mouth and thirst with frequent urination equivalent to the amount of liquid consumed. symptoms started during a sinus infection which I was able to beat on my own. double filtered water still leaves an iron aftertaste. Any ideas ?

Hii. You are passing urine almost similar to the amount of your drinking. There are many causes of it. Are you working in cold environment which prevents you from sweating? This can cause increased urine. There are many medical reasons like diabetes mellitus or increased blood sugar. Diabetes insipidus is also another condition when kidney can concentrate urine and results in more urine. Any sort of early kidney problem can results in similar problem. There is no direct relationship of sinus infection with increased urine. But at the same time any sort of infection in the body results in need of more water consumption which may cause increased urine formation. I will suggest you to consult a medicine Doctor. In the meantime do complete blood count, serum urea,creatinine and renal function test, urine osmolality,osmolality. Pleaselet me know if you have any queries.
