Question : Hi. I have been very light headed since I woke up this morning. I have also been very nauseous. When I push on my lower right abdomen, there is a sharp pain. I am concerned I might have appendicitis. However I don't know if the symptoms I'm having are indicative of appendicitis.

Hi
Pain in the lower abdomen on right side can be due to Appendicitis, Right sided Ureteric stone, Inflammation of the Caecum due to infections like Amoebiasis etc.
Ultrasound abdomen will give a clue.
Please consult a Doctor and proceed further.
Till ultrasound,I prescribe Anti inflammatory tablet and Rabeprazole along with Domperidone combination to my patients with similar complaints..

Nausea is seen in Appendicitis

Apart from Pain Abdomen, Nausea is a important symptom which goes more in favour of Appendicitis.
Dizziness may not be related to Appendicitis.It may be due to weakness or someother cause like low blood sugar levels due to fasting etc
