Question : Hi. I have gone on holiday and lost my noriday contraceptive pill pack. i had only 2-3 active pills remaining. Its been 4 days since I've taken anything. Will i be protected from pregnancy if i start taking a new pack with active pills today and skip the non active 7 days pills

                                    Brief Answer:
Cycle is not protected.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us.
In the current scenario, your cycle is not protected since you missed 3 active pills and have not received any medication for the past four days.
However, the risk is lower since you are in the end of the cycle.
Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I am happy to help.
regards,

                                    Brief Answer:
Emergency pill is of no use now.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Emergency pill is of no use now since it is more than four days. In the current scenario, you are likely to get withdrawal bleeding in a couple of days. If not, please go for the pregnancy test and after excluding pregnancy, start a new pack.
For an earlier clarification, you can get the blood test for pregnancy after day 21 of your cycle.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Yes.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing again.
Since your cycle is not protected, you have to start the new pack only after excluding the possibility of pregnancy, though very little risk is present.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to contact if you need anything else. I will be ready to help.
