Question : Hi, I have had a small painless lump on the shaft of my penis below the head (at the rim of the circumcision scar really) for a few years now. I am just curious to know what it is. Like I said, it’s painless and not itchy at all, can barely feel it really. It is bit red in the area today because I’ve been poking at it and stretching the skin (OCD).

I forgot to mention that it is very small, almost like a pimple but I know it isnt.

Please let me know do you have fever, penile discharge, burning while urination, allergy?

In that case you may require detailed medical examination and evaluation after physician opinion.

Usually they are harmless and no need of treatment and tend to fade over time. Don't poke it and avoid use of harsh cosmetic products, soap,detergents.

Now you can apply hydrocortisone ointment locally. Take tablet loratidine 10 mg once a day for itching. Maintain proper hygiene.

Hi Doctor,

Thank you for the response. I do not have any of the symptoms you describe. I do have allergies and have taken Claritin for them.
