Question : Hi. I have these bumps in the back of my throat. I’ve been having a soar throat for a week. Now I just have painful swallowing in the morning and night. Beyond that no other symptoms. Just that the internet and google scare me and try to convince me I have cancer or herps etc. please ease my worry doctor!

I read your query and here is my advice.

I see the photo you attached and it has nothing to do with herpes or cancer. It is strep throat, infection and inflammation of throat and tonsillitis probably by streptococcus.
Probably you may need antibiotics to fight it and the best which work are penicillin or penicillin group, amoxicillin, augmentine.
You may need to take painkillers for pain and fever such ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
Also use lozenges or gargling with salt or soda and warm water.
