Question: Hi, I recently met a 24 year old British girl and had oral sex and finger play: She was on her period (noticed blood on the bed) We also had penetrative sex with a condom.

However, i did 2 Vaginal thrusts without a condom (2/3 seconds and came to my senses)

7 days later I developed a sore throat and pus on my tonsils.

I have small spots on my tummy which developed 8/9days later but are now clearing.

My skin feels itchy.
Slight nausea (now gone)
Intermittent pain in lymph nodes

It%E2%80%99s been 10 days now and my throat is better 90%25 and spots are easing but now have an upset tummy and lots of gas when I%E2%80%99m sitting.

I am concerned I could have contracted something (like hiv) I am very anxious usually and am scared. Picture of spots attached. if not HIV , what could it be?

Brief Answer:
I suggest to get some tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in "Ask a Doctor".
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Based on your history, having oral sex and protected vaginal intercourse you shouldn't worry bacause there is no risk for HIV even if she was with period.
The risk for HIV in uprotected oral sex exist if you have open bleeding sores during this time.
Please could you explain better in details related the episod of unprotected vaginal thrusts?
I have seen carefully your picture and I think that this could be a situations related to purulent tonsillitis or related to a viral situation ( maybe mononucleosis).
But from unprotected oral sex you should know that could exist the risk of chlamydia and gonorrhea pharingeal infections.
So, I suggest to get some tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea.

Hope I have answered your query.
Feel free to ask me further.

Hi with regard to the thrusts - I put my penis in her vagina twice without a condom and stopped after I can to my senses (it lasted 2/3secs). She was on her period. Does the spots look like hiv rash, and also the symptoms after 7days ... does this mean i could have HIV? If no what could cause these symptoms (tonsils, spots, painful lymp nodes).

I also recall I kissed another girl on Friday and she said she had a sore throat before had. My sore throat them developed on the Sunday. Could it be from this?

Brief Answer:
The spots don't look like as the HIV rash.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in "Ask a Doctor".
I am sorry for my late response.

Based on your history, puting your penis in her vagina without condom 2-3 seconds, you should know that could exist a little risk to get HIV because in this moment could have the contact with genital secretions.
But, related your recent symptoms I think are not related to HIV, and the spots don't look like as the HIV rash.
As I mentioned before I think this could be related to purulent tonsillitis or mononucleosis syndrom.

Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.

Thanks for your response. Is developing symptoms (sore throat fever and pain in lymp nodes) 7 days after exposure too soon for HIV?

My sore throat has gone, spots are clearing on chest, no fever too. However I have an upset stomach now.

Brief Answer:
These symptoms are not related to HIV(ARS).

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome back.
I am sorry for my late response.

It is a good news that you are better now.
You should know that 7 days after a risky exposure is to early to get the HIV symptoms.
So, as I said before I think that these symptoms are not related to HIV(ARS).

Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
