Question : Hi, I was recently diagnosed with diabetes but I am keeping my blood sugar in normal levels without insulin and I feel great except sometimes I’ll feel a slight pain in my upper right abdomen towards the side under my ribs. Also l’lll feel a pain in my lower back that feels like a muscle pain. I do work at a physically demanding job, is this something to be concerned with?

Diabetes can lead to a variety of complications.

Symptoms of diabetes related to musculoskeletal problems include muscle pain, joint pain or stiffness of the muscles.

I recommend to use a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen three tablets a day.

Warm compresses can also be helpful to relieve the pain.

I also recommend to maintain the blood sugar under control.

I suggest to eat healthy and exercise regularly.
