Question : Hi! I was taking my nasal allergy spray this morning and forgot to wash my hands (I usually do every time). I’m worried because I touched my phone and like, I was at the store yesterday pushing the carts and such. Should I be worried? How likely am I to catch COVID?

My fingers did not directly go in my nose, but it did go on the nasal pump part around the base of the tip of the nozzle. It didn’t touch the tip of the nozzle either.

Brief Answer:
No way to calculate the real risk.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

There is not a way to calculate the risk or give an accurate percentage of the risk of acquiring covid19 in your situation.

I don't think that you are worried about it.
You didn't touch the tip of the nose nor the tip of the nozzle.

Also, you were in the market yesterday and probably you washed hands before sleeping.

The phone may be a source of the virus since we touch it very often.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
