Question : Hi, I'm a 21 year old female, For three months I was vomiting no food, just stomach acid and I haven't been throwing up lately but I do get sometimes burp and I can taste a mix of the food I ate with acid, it also seems like every time I eat my stomach has a weird burning sensation, I feel my food get stuck in my chest, and I've been constipated with diarrhea at the same time I went to the doctor and they said it was probably an ulcer but the medicine is not helping with the heartburn, and it's always after I eat. I can't not eat. I already take medicine for GERD and the ulcer so what else could I do? and Is it possible that it's something else ?
Brief Answer:
it looks like Acid peptic disease, you should be investigated
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it looks like Acid peptic disease.
Now a days, instead of Fanotidine,I am prescribing Proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole/Esmoprazole/Pantaprazole along with Domperidone to my patients with similar complaints.
If there is no response,I am asking for an Upper GI endoscopy and Ultrasound abdomen.
Avoid spicy food.Have small feeds at Regular intervals.
Please consult your doctor and proceed further.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health
