Question : Hi, I’m a bit nervous and scared, but basically I was wonder how likely I’m am able to have gotten HIV or any STDs if I gave someone (Male and XXXXXXX American) unprotected oral sex for about 3 to 5 minutes without him cumming (But I don’t know about precum it may have gotten in my mouth) in my mouth and I don’t believe I had any cuts or sores in mouth at the time of the blowjob but I notice two cuts a few days later. and then protected anal sex for about also 3 mins and don’t believe the condom broke but he used his spit as lube. In which he had me continue to blow him off and lick his balls and I just finished him with a handjob and only got cum on my hand. All of this only happened within a matter of about 10 mins. This happened on Sunday about 5 days ago I’m also male and 19. I’m not showing any signs of anything beside a occasional sore throat that goes away after I drink some water! I don’t know his hiv status or if he has any stds!

Brief Answer:
Don't worry....do testing after 4 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello there,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, there is a negligible risk of HIV transmission through unprotected oral sex as you didn't have any cuts or open sore in a month.

But there are chances of STD transmission like herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea through unprotected oral sex or skin to skin contact.

For confirmation, I would suggest that kindly do HIV and STD testing after 4 weeks.

In between kindly watch for symptoms like penile discharge, sores near mouth/penis/anus, fever, painful urination than you must see the physician for detailed clinical examination and evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query.

Thanks so much for answering! I’m still nervous due to the uncertainty as it was my first time doing it. I just have to ask do you think that my risk of hiv is big enough for me to be panicking and doing home test kits every week as I already bought two. As I stated the sign is a sore throat everyone in a while but maybe I could just mistaken it as dry throat.

Brief Answer:
no need to do testing every weekly....

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

In your case, there is negligible risk of HIV transmission.

There is no need to do testing every week. Do testing after 4 weeks as it's more reliable and meanwhile watch for symptoms as mentioned before.

Sore throat is not a specific symptom. For that you can do saline or betadine gargles.

Hope I have answered your query.
