Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

Your symptoms are suggestive of uncontrolled diastolic hypertension, which is a type of arterial hypertension.

Although your systolic blood pressure values are under control, the increased diastolic blood pressure (bottom number) is indicative of hypertension.

Coming to this point, I would recommend increase the dose of amlodipine. What doses are you taking of these drugs?

I would also recommend performing some blood lab tests in order to investigate for the possible causes of high blood pressure :
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- kidney and liver function tests
- cortisol and aldosterone plasma levels for adrenal gland dysfunction.

Hope you will find this information helpful!
