Question : Hi. It feels like I have a mild bruise on the inner side of my heel. It started eight weeks ago when I tripped walking down a steep hill and stopped myself by putting my way onto that spot on my heel. It does feel better than it did but eight weeks later I still feel like I have a bruise. There is barely a slight bump the size of a dime visible. No discoloration. I can walk almost normally with little or no pain. Is this something I should get an x-ray on or continue to treat it lightly?

                                    Brief Answer:
No need for x-ray.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think this is something that requires a x-ray. I think the bruising you are complaining may be related to trauma and injury you experiences while walking.
It would be better if you attach a photo of the bruising in reports for me to see its conditions.
I think you would better keep the limb at rest as much as possible. Avoid long walkings and staying on your feet for long.
Wear appropriate shoes, wide and comfortable.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you very much Dr. Xhufka.
Here's is a screenshot/photo of my foot. As you can see, no discoloration, only a very light bump that is very soft and doesn't feel like a bump.

No bruising is seen.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I see the photo you attached.
The skin is perfectly normal and no discolouration or bruising is seen.
I don't think this is something to worry about.
Just keep in mind to have wide and comfortable shoes. Avoid long walks. You will feel better in few days.
