Question : Hi I’ve been suffering from a lot of panic attacks and high anxiety. I am currently on Duloxetine for depression and to help with nerves that are still on fire from past medications. I heard that Clonazepam worked great for panic episodes and high anxiety. I’m at my wits end of what it is that will help these from happening. I am currently waiting to be approved for health insurance so I can’t make an appointment to see a doctor right now. Is there anything you could do to help me until I get my health care approved? Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Yes Clonazepam can work great
Detailed Answer:
Hello ad welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Yes a combination of anti-depressant like Duloxetine and benzodiazepine like clonazepam and lorazepam can work well for panic attacks. These are prescription only medicines and are available on presenting a written prescription by a doctor.
Daily meditation can also be used as add-on therapy to allay fears and anxieties. There are guided meditations available on youtube and you can try these until your health insurance is approved.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
