Question : Hi I’ve been told I should come off hrt. No reason except I’ve been on it for 18 years and I’m 68.

Hello and thank you for asking!
HRT is recommended to be taken for 5 years as it contains estrogen that increases the risk for breast cancer if taken over the age of 55. It increases also the risk for High blood pressure, high cholesterol and risk for thrombosis. For these reasons is not recommended to be taken for many years.
