Question: Hi, My girlfriend has a problem with cold. She's been having this problem even before the Corona virus outbreak in italy. Her problems are: she sneezes a lot, too much mucus, and now her body temperature is increasing. She has been taking some medications of recent but due to her job, she has been able to see her doctor because its not easy for her. We really need help because we are afraid of the corona virus.
Brief Answer:
If the fever increases, get the tests done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. Besides her fever, the symptoms you have described appear to be allergic rhinitis. Use a thermometer to record her temperature. Follow distancing and hygiene norms.
2. The cardinal symptoms of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) are high fever, dry cough, fatigue, myalgia, breathlessness and a cold.
3. Hence if her fever increases or any of these symptoms appear, she requires to undergo the tests.
4. At present there seems to be no cause for worry.
I hope that I have answered your question. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
