Question : Hi, My name is Diann. I am 73 years old and have a wart on my eyelash line. Any suggestions on how to remove and keep my vision and lashes?

Hello Diann,

Welcome to Ask a Doctor Service.

Given the close proximity to the eye, you will not be able to remove the wart by yourself without hurting yourself.

If by mistake you poke your eye, then loss of vision is a serious possibility.

An ophthalmologist will be able to assess the lesion properly and will be able to remove it without causing any damage as they would have done such procedures many times and would be well trained in the technique.
