Brief Answer:
different possible causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Itching that occurs day or night is likely related to liver disease, kidney disease, abnormal levels of thyroid hormone, side effect of medication, allergies.

Itching at night can be due to: (1) scabies- this is an infection that can be treated with the use of meds such as permethrin or lindane. One of these can be used if it is scabies and has to stay on for a few hours. Sheets, towels and possibly infected clothes have to washed in very hot water or dry cleaned

(2)bed bugs- these also cause itching only at night though the itching is usually more generalised (occurs in different areas of the body). The sheets, blankets etc would have to be assessed to see if these are present.

If found, the use of hot water and hot dryer would help

(3)if you use any creams or socks or any other agents on the feet at night it may be a reaction to one of these

(4)diabetes- diabetes affects the nerves and this can cause neuropathy (abnormal function of the nerves).
Neuropathy can cause symptoms that can be worse or only present at night.
While most persons would have tingling or numbness, itching is also a possible symptoms of neuropathy so you can be assessed to see if this is a possible cause for you

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
probiotics may help

Detailed Answer:
HI

The use of probiotics and/prebiotics can help improve a person's immunity and reduce the risk of infections

These are available either at health stores or in a local pharmacy.

Medications that make a person go to the bathroom to supposedly get rid of toxins, get rid of all of the good bacteria and other agents in the colon as well so they they can cause a problem

Consider using an antihistamine such as benadryl, claritine, zyrtec, allegra- to help with the itching but you should see a dermatologist if it continues so the exact cause can be found
