Hi, Recently I Have Noticed Lots Of Small Bumps On

Details as discussed below:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. These bumps on the hard palate are normal. They are known as the palatal torus or XXXXXXX They may increase with age.
2. There is some congestion and redness over the soft palate. Small bumps here are usually small islands of lymphoid (tonsil-like) tissue or minor salivary glands.
3. Allergy, infections, reflux, snoring, certain rough foodstuff, multivitamin deficiencies, excess calcium, certain toothpastes, oral rinses can cause a transient raw feeling.
4. Besides the mouthwash, a course of anti-allergy, anti-inflammation and anti-reflux medication will help. Antibiotics may be given if a throat swab culture turns positive.
5. From the attached image it seems that this should settle down. Unless the swellings are very large or there is ulceration, there is no cause for worry. If this persists, a local dental and ENT specialist should be consulted.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for following up.
1. As mentioned earlier, small bumps here are usually islands of lymphoid (tonsil-like) tissue or minor salivary glands. The white line is the normal fibrous midline raphe. There are no other important structures there, besides muscles and the mucosal lining, so at the most, there is an inflammation, infection or enlargement of these normal tissues.
2. It is rather difficult to feel the soft palate with the tongue, so you might actually be feeling part of the hard palate.
3. Benzydamine (0.15% w/v) mouthwash (any brand) will help. Cetirizine 10 mg once daily is fine as an anti-allergy medication. Paracetamol 500 mg/ 650 mg twice a day as an anti-inflammation and rabeprazole 20 mg/ pantoprazole 40 mg twice a day as anti-reflux medication should be fine. If no relief in 48-72 hours (not more than 3 days), get a local specialist's opinion.
4. Yes, the anti-reflux medication is to rule out acid reflux as a cause and in case the other medications cause/worsen acid reflux.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.
Regards
